Problem Description: When I opened my PC this morning I received a notice from McAfee that my computer had been connected to a "new network". The network is (Gateway: 192.168.1.254 Mask: 255.255.255.0)I know nothing about this change, and only have this 1 computer... I am being asked to add this network as Public...Tursted... or standard.I recently received a new Windows update and thought that it might have came from that, or that someone had connected their computer to mine. I don't know which, but DO NOT and DID not authorize any kind of connection. I immeadieatly started to search what this connection was and why it is trying to be put on my PC. At this point I have not clicked on the dropdown and ok'ed thin on McAfee. Do you have any information about this connection? Where it came from, Why it was put on my computer, How it was put there and most important how to get rid of it, if need be?*** This is was I see on the McAfee popup***Your computer has connected to a new network. You can add this network as Trusted (for example, at home); as Standard (for example, in a corporate network); or as Public (for example, at an Internet café, hotel, or airport). HiSecurity wise is it probably nothing. However, you want to correct it so it will not impede your network. From an Admin command prompt type ipconfig /all >Desktop\Ipconfig.txt and press Enter.Paste the content of the Ipconfig.txt file that is on the desktop onto a post here.
